As a local and a real estate agent in the Hamptons, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the beauty of these spots firsthand and can’t wait to share some of my favorite sandy escapes.

Beach Driving Permits: In East Hampton, a Town of East Hampton Beach Driving Permit (4×4) is required to drive on the beach. This permit can only be obtained at the East Hampton Town Clerk’s Office.

Permit Requirements: Each village or town may have specific requirements for obtaining beach permits, such as proof of residency, vehicle registration, or lease agreements for renters. Contact the respective offices or visit their websites for the most up-to-date information.

Non-Resident Permits: Some areas offer a limited number of non-resident beach permits at higher fees. Availability and pricing vary, so it’s best to inquire directly with the village or town offices.
